Spanish With Elizabeth – (Playa del Carmen)

Hablamos mucho de nuestros culturas: trabajos, viajar, religion, eventos socio-politicas, sueños y por supuesto me ayudó mucho en gramatica en conversacion. Se lo recomiendo mucho las clases con Elizabeth 🙂I had the perfect week with Profesora Elizabeth. We talked alot about it cultures: work, travel, religion, socio-political events, dreams and of course she helped me with me conversational grammer. I highly recommend Clases con Elizabeth.

(5/5) My husband and I took five weeks of Spanish classes with Elizabeth in July and August 2021. Elizabeth was wonderful to work with, and she helped me expand my Spanish vocabulary and grammar exponentially in a fun and productive environment. I highly recommend her if you want to learn Spanish quickly. In our classes, we spoke entirely in Spanish, which meant lots of listening initially but I could tell the progress I was making very quickly and that continued throughout our time with her. I feel much more comfortable having a conversation in Spanish than I did when I started classes.

(5/5) Elizabeth is an excellent teacher. My husband and I took classes from her 4 days a week for 3 months and it gave us a solid base to build upon. She is also professional, friendly, and made class fun (she has a great sense of humor!). She was easy to talk to and understand- speaking to our level, yet challenging us. Not only did she help us with our Spanish but she also was a great “host” for the area- telling us where all the good restaurants are, how to navigate the taxis, fun things to do, how to prepare for our first hurricane, and so much more. We highly recommend her!

(5/5) I loved my time with Elizabeth! I spent three months practicing my spanish skills with her and it made such a difference! She was able to use immersion conversations to work with my level of comprehension and allowed me to take my very basic high school spanish into something that feels usable. I can now watch programs in spanish and converse with most people about a range of topics.

(5/5) I took 5 weeks of classes with Elizabeth, and she is fantastic! She is very knowledgeable, and a great teacher. She took the time to explain to us any questions we had, and really made sure that we understood the different elements of the Spanish language. I did not know one word of Spanish before I took my first lesson, and after 5 weeks I was able to hold a conversation with the locals! Great experience, great teacher, great atmosphere. (5/5) I took Spanish lessons with Elizabeth for three weeks while in Playa del Carmen. This was my first group class which was a nice change from online lessons I've previously have been taking. As a Freshman to Spanish, classes with Elizabeth was exactly what I needed to improve my Spanish skills. The classes help me develop my ear to build my listening comprehension and also flexed my speaking skills to build confidence in conversation. I've still a long way to go but am glad to have met Elizabeth as a teacher and friend on the path.

(5/5) I had the pleasure of taking 20 hours of classes with Elizabeth over a three week period. My primary goal was to practice my conversation skills and she was a great maestra. In conversations with her I learned so much more about Mexican culture, politics, and daily life. I sincerely hope to return to continue my lessons with her in the upcoming years. She’s more than just any Spanish language instructor. She’s an expert in her field, a conversation partner, a Mexico tour guide, a bit of a therapist during pandemic times, and a really nice woman to get to practice with. I highly recommend.

(5/5) This was my first time taking a dedicated immersion class. My wife and I had five weeks with Elizabeth. My Spanish was slightly better than beginner when I started with Elizabeth; I'd done about a year of Duolingo at 15 minutes a day, so was roughly finished with Level 3. However, after a month of meeting with Elizabeth for 4 hours a day, I can tell that my Spanish has taken leaps and bounds in my understanding and confidence in my ability to speak Spanish. We know native Spanish speakers where we live in Texas, and they have been astonished at the progress in speaking Spanish that my wife and I made. Furthermore, Elizabeth is not only a teacher, she's a therapist, mother, and friend. She's very knowledgeable about a wide variety of topics, which makes the conversation interesting, and she's an excellent conversationalist, allowing you to practice your Spanish in a multitude of intellectual settings. I cannot recommend Elizabeth highly enough, and am very happy to serve as a reference for her. When you take classes with her (and you should if you are looking for Spanish language training in Playa del Carmen or online), ask her about tacos al pastor! Elizabeth - muchas gracias!
