(5/5) My wife and I spent 2 months in Mérida and we discovered the Escuelita Spanish School by chance as it was located just one block from our Airbnb in Col Garcia Generés neighborhood. We both took private classes to maximize the time we could interact with the teacher and to be more efficient as our spanish levels are not the same. We enjoyed the classes very much. Alejandra is a super teacher, she of course knows the language very well and she is warm, friendly, and great fun to be around. She adapted the curriculum very quickly to focus on the areas we struggled with, and every class was so engaging that the time just flew. As part of our classes, we also talked about the Mayan culture, history, arts, music, gastronomy, and coffee places, etc. In other words, she kept the curriculum and subjects very varied, interesting, fun and very useful for learning the language and culture. We are so glad we attended her school. We highly recommend taking spanish lessons with Alejandra. Christian & Emma

(5/5) Learning Spanish from Alejandra is great! She is approachable, patient and flexible. Alejandra would tailor the class to my needs, like daily conversation and less grammar.Alejandra is also knowledgeable of Mexican culture and history, which helps to immerse and absorb the language when learning. This made me wanted to visit different parts of Mexico for food, people, crafts, etc.Would recommend Alejandra to anyone, who wants to learn Spanish, at any level, beginner, medium and advanced.

I did both in person and online classes with Alejandra, and was able to improve my conversational and written Spanish immensely. (5/5) I am so pleased to have found Alejandra, her approach to teaching Spanish is adapted so well to my individual needs and way of learning. As a beginner she guides and motivates me, while offering very useful tips on ensuring I use good local language rather than just text book translations. Alejandra shines with positive energy and always leaves me more confident as I seek to integrate deeper into the Yucatan way of life. Highly recommend Alejandra.
