Café con Español – (Oaxaca de Juárez)

(5/5) Patty is an excellent Spanish teacher. I started learning Spanish with her as a beginner, she was so patient and helpful and I felt very comfortable studying with her. What I like most is that she takes the time to get to know you, and uses this to generate interesting conversation topics in Spanish. This type of studying really helped me to improve my conversational skills and find fun and interactive ways to learn verbs, grammar and vocabulary. She’s also a foodie so can give you some great recommendations for the amazing food culture in Oaxaca!

(5/5) Patty is an excellent Spanish language teacher and I can think of nothing better than sitting in a cafe in Oaxaca chatting, drinking coffee and learning Spanish with her. Oaxaca is a beautiful city and to be able to wander through its cafes, be immersed in the culture and learn Spanish at the same time is truly a dream come true. Patty is so easy to talk to and will meet you at your Spanish language level. Her English is excellent and she is extremely patient so if you're a beginner learner you will feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend Cafe con Espanol!

(5/5) Lessons with Patty are always fun and encouraging. In addition to being an excellent teacher, Patty is very warm and kind, and can help you see what you’re doing wrong without destroying your confidence.She is very flexible in her approach, and can offer as much or as little structure as you want or need. If you need a very structured approach, with an emphasis on grammar, she can provide materials, exercises and drills. If you want materials to read and then discuss, she can do that. If, on the other hand, you just want to practice talking, Patty is the perfect person to practice with, listening attentively and gently correcting your mistakes.If you are looking for a teacher while you are actually in Oaxaca, you could not do better than Patty. She has lived in Oaxaca for most of her life, so if you want help navigating the most interesting places in town, Patty is your perfect companion. She can take you places you would otherwise never see (The cat sanctuary! Her favorite cafes and markets! The best street art in town!) and get to know the city while improving your Spanish. I highly recommend Patty!

(5/5) Kevin has been my Spanish teacher for two years both online and in person in Oaxaca. He is friendly and professional. He creates a fun and enjoyable learning environment. The classes are a mixture of conversation and structured learning. I got to visit many interesting places in Oaxaca that were off the typical tourist path while becoming more proficient in Spanish.

(5/5) I can’t say enough about Profesora Patty and her ability as a Spanish teacher. She has a clear understanding of what I need to learn, and an extensive knowledge of how to teach it. She is patient, knowledgeable and also a lot of fun. She has enjoyable ways of directing our casual conversations to the vocabulary/gramatical concepts that I need to learn. I can’t recommend her highly enough!
